Two Online IATEFL Events

The IATEFL Learning Technologies special interest group kindly invites you to participate in the following online events as part of the Social Media week being organised by the British Council, Moscow:


Session One:
'Social Media for Continuous Professional Development in ELT'

Teacher Knowledge Test (TKT) course in Tripoli


Is TKT for you?


  • Would like to teach English but haven’t started yet?
  • Are you already teaching English  but don’t have teaching qualifications?
  • Have you trained sometime ago and need to refresh your knowledge?


What is TKT?

It is a foundation in the core areas of knowledge needed for English Language teaching.

It will help you to understand:

  • different methodologies for teaching 
  • the ‘language of teaching’
  • the ways in which resources can be used 
  • the key aspects of lesson planning 
  • classroom management methods for different needs


Our teachers will prepare you to take the ESOL TKT (Teacher Knowledge Test )

When: 17th February to 21st April 2011 Every Saturday 13:15 to 17:45 (40-hour course)

How much: 460LYD

* You need at least Intermediate 3 level English to join this course.
